Changes coming later in the week

This is just a quick update, looks like we will be seeing some changes in the pattern, with some chances of some significant rain across the area starting on Wednesday Night/Thursday Morning as a cold front approaches and then stalls out and becomes a warm front as a low pressure approaches from the southwest which will be located around the Texas/Oklahoma panhandle on Thursday then slowly move northeastward Friday into Saturday, The weather story image below courtesy of NWS/Twin Cities lays it out pretty well.

The Storm Predictions Center has put up an area for Day 4 for possible Severe Weather on Friday for southeast Minnesota, southwest Wisconsin, northwest Illinois and Iowa, There is a lot talk going around on the social networks of a possible severe weather outbreak, with this being 4 days out the circled area you see in the image below will probably get moved around a little bit as the system gets organized and more forecast models runs come out through the week.

1 to 2 inch widespread rainfall amounts are possible with a few 3 inch amounts, Cooler air moves in behind this system on Saturday and Sunday with temperatures 5 to 10 degrees below average, Stay tuned to your local weather via whatever media you use for further information through out this week, in the meantime enjoy the nice weather we're currently having, looks like it will be leaving for a little while.
