I just want to stop a minute and mention the NWS/Twin Cities on twitter, as you can see the at the beginning the twitter message it says "Please RT" RT meaning retweet, I did retweet that message as you see on my twitter feed on the left and so did a bunch of other people and they inturned thanked us for the retweet, I have noticed that NWS/Twin Cities and NWS La Crosse in Wisconsin have been interactive asking for reports on what you're seeing at your location, Radar helps but visual or ground truth also helps more and they are appreciative for the information, I'm sure other local NWS offices do the same in some form or another, So if you have a twitter account, follow your local National Weather Service and if they interactive and asking for reports during weather events, help them out
I posted the infomation on twitter earlier as you can see on following two images below.
Frost Advisory is in effect for southeast Minnesota, southwest Wisconsin and northeast Iowa until 8 am Sunday, cover your sensitive plants, there is more information on the Weather Updates chat on the top left or you can check out the information here

The pattern is going to stay cool and mostly dry through week and all the way through next weekend, So keep the cold weather gear around, you're going to need it.
Finally here is another way you can report weather to the National Weather Service from your location, I used this few times today, It is called Meteorological Phenomena Identification Near the Ground (mPING), It is a project to collect weather information from the public through their smart phone or mobile device. The free mPING mobile app was developed through a partnership between NOAA's NSSL(National Severe Storms Laboratory), the University of Oklahoma and the Cooperative Institute for Mesoscale Meteorological Studies. You can also use their website to report weather from your location as well, you can check out information at this website
Have a good evening, J.T.
