I had a brief shower of sleet come through my location at about ten minutes after 12 PM CT, The forecast map below shows a cold front moving across the region today bringing the chance of rain and snow across the area this weekend.
The Graphic below gives you a idea what is in store for tonight courtesy of the National Weather Service, Twin Cities/Chanhassen, MN. Minor accumulations of snow from the Alexandria to Mora line northward later tonight through the morning hours, especially areas north of Mora to Rush City in Minnesota and north of Luck to Ladysmith Wisconsin where snow could accumulate on grassy surfaces and trees, Don't be surprise if you wake up to some snowflakes further south on Sunday morning but no accumulation expected.
"From the National Weather Service, Twin Cities/Chanhassen, MN: Latest forecast of timing and precipitation type for late tonight, through Sunday afternoon. Most of the snowfall will occur early in the morning for areas along I-94, then slowly spread north and east during the morning."
