Just a few forecast maps courtesy of the National Weather Service, I'll also have latest radar at the end as well.
The Weather map below shows the low pressure system passing thru our area that brought tornadoes to eastern Nebraska and northwest Iowa, Large amounts of Snow measured in feet in western South Dakota and eastern Wyoming yesterday, cool and damp day today across Minnesota today. Tropical Storm Karen moving slowly in the Gulf of Mexico as well
Lows Tonight will be the coolest in far northwest Minnesota and the warmest will be around Lake Superior for Duluth, MN & Ironwood Mi, otherwise low to mid 40's for the rest of the area on the map below
Highs Tomorrow will be the coolest from southwest Minnesota to northeast Minnesota with temperatures in the low 50's with some lingering clouds and scattered showers as the low pressure exits the area, otherwise the rest of the area in the mid to upper 50's close to 60
The NWS/Twin Cities Weather Story image below (even though it was released this morning), But at least gives you an idea of the next 5 days, looks like we should rebound back into the upper 60's and low 70's by the middle of the week, so if you haven't had enough of the nice weather, just wait a few days and it will be back, If you have plans to enjoy the fall colors before they are gone, you'll have a chance to enjoy it.
Finally the latest radar image showing an area of rain with pockets moderate rain along the occluded front pushing northward for the rest of the evening, I also noticed a couple recent lightning strikes south of Winona in southeast Minnesota, so I guess we can't rule out a couple rumbles of thunder, Enjoy the rest of the weekend. J.T.
