Short Term Forecast

A steady very light snow is falling across most of Minnesota and Wisconsin this afternoon and evening. Cold temperatures are ranging from the single digits below zero North through the single digits above zero South to low teens in the far south. With these cold temperatures and snow is a very fine powder and it is extra slippery on the walkways and roadways across the region. Expect very light snow accumulations less than an inch over most of southern Minnesota and west central Wisconsin. The trailing this is expected to move into central Minnesota between now and eight p.m.  Then into eastern Minnesota after that. Expect very light snow accumulations less than an inch over most of west central Wisconsin through midnight.
