Morning Weather Brief

Good Morning, Winds have started to pick up here in eastern Minnesota around 10 mph out of the southeast, meaning warmer temperatures are on the way, this is just a quick brief, below are is this mornings lows across the region courtesy of the National Weather Service/Twin Cities

The Morning forecast map below shows a warm front approaching from the southwest bringing warmer temperatures for the coming week especially for western Minnesota staring today

High Temperature map today shows a pretty good temperature difference from west to east with highs in the low 80's in southwest Minnesota to low to mid 60's in northern Minnesota and Wisconsin with colder temperatures along the north shore.

Winds will increase as we get into the afternoon, below is the wind gusts map by 4 pm CT, wind gust could get up to 30 mph in western Minnesota by this afternoon.

Tonight temperatures will not drop as low as this morning, cooler to east and warmer to the west

The next chance of precipitation comes tomorrow night for western Minnesota but this is just a slight risk but there a good possibility that the next system will come through the area dry, The next significant chance of precipitation comes in Friday night and Saturday with the possibility of thunderstorms, But since this is 6 days out, the forecast models are not in complete agreement, but they do agree on the system coming through late in the week into the first part of the weekend, Temperatures will be mainly in 70's for highs though out the week can't rule out a 80 especially to the west and southwest Minnesota during the week, low temperatures mainly in the 50's maybe holding in the low 60's for southern Minnesota late in the week

That's all for now, enjoy the football games, J.T.
